Privacy, in plain language.

This policy covers this website: its pages and its contact form. In it, “we” means AwardBeam, the company that publishes the site.

It does not cover the AwardBeam product that agencies use, or the live demonstration, which runs as a separate application.

The contact form asks for:

• your name and work email address
• your agency, your role and your state
• the population your agency serves
• the topic you choose and your message

The form also contains a hidden field that people never see. If automated software fills it in, the submission is discarded. We do not collect anything else through the form.

When you send the form, your entries go by email to AwardBeam through an email delivery service. We read them to reply to you, and we keep them as the record of our conversation.

We do not sell your information, rent it or use it for advertising.

We keep your message only as long as we need it to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation. You can ask us to delete it sooner, as described below.

This site has no advertising trackers. At launch it sets no analytics cookies.

If that changes, this page will say so first, with a new date at the top.

One setting. When you press Pause animations, your choice is saved in this browser's local storage under the name ab-motion, with the value on or off, so the next page opens the way you left it.

The setting stays in your browser and is never sent to us. You can clear it in your browser's settings, or with the Forget this choice button at the top of this page.

The company that hosts this site keeps standard server logs, such as the address a request came from, the page requested, the time and the type of browser. The logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

Links marked Demo open the live demonstration of AwardBeam for the fictional City of Westbridge. It is a separate application with its own pages, and anything you enter there is handled by that application. Please do not enter real bid information or personal data into the demonstration.

If you write to us from a government email account, your message may be a public record under your state's law. Please do not include anything your agency would not release.

To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, use the contact form and tell us the email address you used before. We reply to that address.

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. It was last updated September 24, 2026.
